Welcome to our site! May it be an open door for a new beginning for those taking next steps toward personal growth – mind, body, and spirit. The Bible has a lot to say about living free from the past and being renewed by God’s grace: “if anyone is in Christ, the new creation has come: The old has gone, the new is here!” – 2 Corinthians 5:17.

At Grapevine United Methodist Church we believe that genuine life transformation can happen based on renewing one’s mind by standing on the principles and perspective of
God’s Word. More recently we have started a new series of messages covering “The Gospel of John: A Great Book for a New Beginning.” Come and journey with us!

I personally want to invite you to our joy-filled contemporary worship, which meets 10:30 a.m. every Sunday. What I love most about our fellowship is the open environment that welcomes questions and embraces those who long to live authentically who each is designed to be. In other words, it’s just a great place to be yourself.

The Gospel of John:
A Great Book for a New Beginning

We are presenting a series of messages that will focus on the Gospel of John. The Gospel of John is one of four gospels in the Bible and is the fourth book in chronological order presented in the New Testament. The Gospel of John is a unique perspective of the life of Jesus Christ. It varies from the other three gospels of Matthew, Mark and Luke. First, the book clearly establishes that Jesus Christ is the Jewish Messiah that was prophesized in the Old Testament of the Bible. Second, the book substantiates the purpose of Jesus Christ and the reason He was sent to earth by God. In addition, the Gospel of John distinguishes itself from the other gospels by focusing less on events and more on spiritual themes. Lastly, there is a clear message in the Gospel of John that helps us understand the truth about God, the truth about eternity, and the truth about making a choice to accept Jesus Christ as our personal Savior. It is great book for a new beginning. Join us each Sunday, 10:30 a.m. as we grow in faith, hope, and love in 2011!
